Who am I?
My name is Ruud Legdeur, enthusiastic photographer. iMarks is based in The Netherlands and directed by me assisted by a network of creative friends. This structure provides great flexibility in possibilities and reduces the costs for the client. At big assignments it is easy to hire assistants, stylists and models. For most assignments I'll prefer to work with a small team. I love to work internationally, to meet new people, to discover, experience and explore new places.
The camera gives me the opportunity to explore and grow in life. It's not work but a way of living which I fully enjoy! Even without a camera I'm looking for new perspectives. It's my journey in awareness. My work is a partnership with the client from which both parties benefit.

Method of working
Professional knowledge, professional equipment and software, experience and cooperation are the keys for outstanding quality. For absolute precision assignments I will use a Large Format Technical Camera. In most cases this is used for special architectural shoots. In order to use the best equipment for a specific job I have a choice of several digital cameras with the best lenses and studio strobes.
A good workflow is essential to create the best quality and working speed. My network with other photographers enables me to be up to date with the latest techniques. Even in these digital times fundamental knowledge of photography is most important.
Despite all the equipment and knowledge there are three things that are responsible for the final image. These are the photographer's imagination, eyes and ears. The imagination to visualise the image. The eyes for the perspective and decisive moment. The ears to listen to the needs of the client.
